ASSISTED LIVING WITH ALZHEIMER'S/DEMENTIA
SPECIAL CARE UNITS

This is an option as a phase between living independently and living in a long-term care
facility. These facilities offer personalized assistance, security and some monitoring of
health care by having a nurse on the premises. Cost can vary by assistance needed in
some facilities Medicaid does not cover assisted living expenses, therefore, cost is
covered by private-pay or some long-term care insurance.
